Villa Santa Lucia is a Tuscan-inspired estate in the hills above Montecito, designed as a composition of structures that feel as though they have evolved over time. The 11,000 square-foot residence is organized to reflect the character of a traditional hill town, with interconnected volumes, courtyards, and layered spatial relationships that create a sense of depth and permanence.

Originally designed and built for musician Kenny Loggins, and now home to actor Jeff Bridges, the residence reflects a highly personal approach to living within the landscape. The architecture draws from classical European precedents, using scale, proportion, and materiality to establish a timeless presence.

Designed with, and while working for, Barry A Berkus AIA, Santa Barbara, as project architect and senior designer, the home balances intimacy and openness, functioning equally as a private retreat and a place for gathering, while remaining grounded in both tradition and setting.
